Giornata della Salsa

About the app

Giornata della Salsa is an offline packing puzzle about passata day, the late-August day when families put ripe tomatoes through a mill and bottle the passata in a courtyard. Pack bottles into the drum, tuck towels into every gap where glass would touch glass, and travel through five courtyards from Campania to New Jersey.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. Giornata della Salsa works entirely offline. There is no account, no login, and nothing to download after you install it.

I lost my progress after reinstalling the app. Is that normal?

Yes. Progress, the pantry shelf, and your family album photos are stored only inside the app's own storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes that storage, and there is no cloud backup or account to restore from, by design.

How do I add a photo to the family album?

Open a relative's card in the Album tab and choose to take a photo or pick one from your library. You can always switch back to the original painted portrait from the same menu.

How does the towel timer work?

The woodpile shown on each drum is a gentle pace-keeper, not a countdown. There's no time limit and no way to lose a level; it only affects whether you earn the third star.

I turned off notifications by accident. How do I turn them back on?

Open the Settings app on your device, find Giornata della Salsa, and turn Notifications back on. Then re-enable the morning reminder inside the app's own Settings tab.

Can I reset my progress?

Yes. Open the Settings tab inside the app and use "Empty the pantry and start the day again." This cannot be undone.
